When Michter’s was first released they wanted to create the best 10-year bourbon in the market. They sourced barrels much older than 10 years to give the bourbon a richer, more layered, and something comparable to much older age statements. This was the last year of those sourced older barrels as the 2015 release was noticeably thinner and sweeter.
